Acupuncture is a natural, holistic therapy that uses tiny, thin needles inserted into specific points on the body to stimulate healing, balance energy, and promote overall wellness.
Your first acupuncture session is all about understanding your unique health concerns and designing a treatment that suits your needs.
Health Consultation: We’ll begin with a conversation about your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. This helps us tailor the treatment specifically for you.
Assessment: Your practitioner will assess areas of tension or imbalance in your body to understand your energy flow and overall health.
Treatment: During the session, very fine, sterile needles are gently inserted into specific points on your body. Most people feel little to no discomfort—some experience a slight tingling or warmth. Needles typically stay in place for 20-30 minutes while you relax.
Post-Treatment: After the needles are removed, you might feel relaxed, energized, or sometimes even a bit tired. These effects are normal and part of the healing process. You may be given some home care to go along with your treatment to help achieve your goals.
Acupuncture helps to:
Stimulate the nervous system
Encourage the release of natural pain-relieving chemicals (endorphins)
Improve blood flow and reduce inflammation
Balance the body's energy (known as Qi or “chi”) to promote healing
This can help your body regain its natural balance and function more effectively.
