Katie Roeder-RMT

History
I have a strong belief that in order to achieve great things, you have to feel great. That you have to be prepared both mentally and physically. Massage therapy is one key way you can achieve that preparedness.I was interested in the field of massage therapy from a young age. Ever since my parents took a general course on Swedish massage that was offered at our community centre. Even then I recognized the benefits and wanted to learn more. I saw such positive outcomes and I wanted to be a part of that. To be a part of making a client's life better. To help them overcome an injury or illness, and to make a difference in their life.
education
As a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy I gained experience working with a variety of clients and conditions including individuals with chronic pain, athletes with sports related injuries, and palliative clients seeking a comforting gentle touch and connection. In the future I hope to further my knowledge by taking courses in fascial stretch therapy, cupping, and lymphatic drainage.
technique
In treatment I combine Swedish massage with a variety of advanced techniques including myofascial release, proprioceptive techniques, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, and deep tissue massage. I aim to customize my clinical approach to meet the specifications and needs of each individual client. And am committed to helping my clients to determine the root cause of their complaint and find relief.
services
Through different techniques I treat a variety of conditions including sciatic nerve pain and piriformis syndrome, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions such as; arthritis, fibromyalgia, headaches and migraines, and multiple sclerosis. Focusing on Swedish massage, deep tissue and relaxation massage.
